Sailing
It was great. Me, 5 other dudes, and the wide open deep blue sea, atleast until you hit jerzy, or another boat, or the bottom of the ocean- which was a definite possibility with me at the helm.
Whoever coined the phrase Smooth Sailin was on crack, or high, or something.
Besides almost tippin the boat over, everything was awesome.
We were on a 24" sail boat (bit tight for 6, but not bad) weather was great- except for the wind.
Apparently ideal winds for first timers are 5-8mph, we got 15 on the first day and 18 on the second day.
I'm actually kinda glad tho cause we got to sail in fairly rough conditions, and now i know exactly what to do if i need to dump wind. (not dumping wind when its really windy, and you're main sail not at the right angle = keelin waay to much)
I definitely do like sailing because its natural and quiet, no motors to interrupt the day, and you're using the earth's natural energy.
That said, it is 10 times harder than motoring a regular yaht or boat
I don't mind either one, just like the water.
Now I need to find a way to get on boats for free to get better, and then charter trips!
